Construction is well underway on the Operation FINALLY HOME project in Greenville for U.S. Army First Sgt. Guillermo Rivas. And last month a special inspirational tribute was added to the project.

On Wednesday, August 10 representatives from Altura Homes, the premier home builder in dallas ft worth, Dallas Builders Association, and Operation Finally Home came together along with people of the Greenville community to write notes of love, support and encouragement on the studs of the unfinished home built for U.S. Army First Sgt. Guillermo Rivas and his family. Even those who were not able to attend this event were still able to participate. Non-attendees were encouraged to leave a comment on Dallas Builders Association Facebook post that would be added to the studs. Messages included messages like: “Be at home in Texas,” “Ooh-Ahh,” and “Go Army!” to “God bless this family and this home” “Sgt. Rivas and Family – Thank you for your service. Enjoy your new home,” and “Thank you for your service to our country Sgt. Rivas. God bless you and your family. Enjoy your new home!” These messages serve as a testament to the appreciation Altura Homes, Dallas Builders Association, Operation Finally Home, and the people of Greenville have for the service and sacrifice of U.S. Army First Sgt. Guillermo Rivas.
