Business Profile: The Dallas Builders Association

Altura Homes, a premier home builder in Dallas TX, is a proud member of the Dallas Builders Association (DBA). Donnie Evans, Altura Homes’ president is the current President of the Dallas Builders Association (DBA).  DBA is also the group coordinating the Operation Finally Home project in Greenville with members like Altura Homes contributing to the build.

 

What is DBA? DBA is a not-for-profit trade association that was chartered in 1944 as a partner of the National Association of Home Builders. DBA has a seven-county jurisdiction that includes Collin, Dallas, Denton, Ellis, Hunt, Kaufman, and Rockwall counties. DBA represents all divisions of the residential building industry in the Dallas Metropolitan area. DBA’s mission is to “enhance its members’ ability to provide safe, affordable, quality housing to the citizens of the local communities.”

 

The DBA’s mission is accomplished by (1) promoting auspicious public policy through active participation in the legislative and regulatory processes; (2) supplying industry information and learning to the members and the public; (3) improving the reputation of the industry and the members through training and encouraging ethical behavior and professional standards; (4) and making membership in the Association an essential element of a successful residential building industry company.

 

DBA is open to home builders in dallas tx and other professionals involved in building product manufacturing, design, housing finance, multifamily construction, property management, remodeling, subcontracting, wholesaling and distribution, as well as other aspects of residential and light commercial construction.
